NOTRE DAME, Ind.
— The University of Notre Dame hockey team’s Saturday night home game against Penn State on Nov. 11 will now start at 5:30 p.m. ET at the Compton Family Ice Arena. The game will be televised by the NBC Sports Network.

“We are excited to be able to adjust the start time so our passionate fan base and students can enjoy both the hockey and football games on Saturday night,” senior associate athletics director and hockey administrator Tom Nevala said. “We also want to thank our colleagues from Penn State, the Big Ten and the NBC Sports Group, who were great to work with throughout this process.”

This weekend, Notre Dame plays its first home Big Ten series as the Nittany Lions visit the Compton Family Ice Arena for the second consecutive season. Friday night’s opening game of the series will be played at 7:35 p.m.

The sixth-ranked Irish are coming off a road sweep at Ohio State (Nov. 3-4) in their first ever Big Ten series, while the 19th-ranked Nittany Lions split a home series versus Mercyhurst (Nov. 3-4).

For Friday’s game (Nov. 10), fans will receive a blue rally towel to commemorate the team’s inaugural season in the Big Ten. Saturday’s game (Nov. 11) will be Military Appreciation Night: Present valid Military ID at the Compton Family Ice Arena Box Office to receive two free tickets.
