NOTRE DAME, Ind. — No. RV Notre Dame Softball will travel to Cathedral City, Calif. this weekend to take part in the Mary Nutter Classic, which will host top-ranked teams from around the country. The Irish, currently on a seven-game win streak, will look to keep up the momentum of the preseason as they take on six teams, including two ranked squads.

Earning two wins each over receiving-votes teams Illinois and Ohio State, the Irish improve to 7-2 on the season, and extend their winning streak to seven. Notre Dame outscored opponents 24-6, hitting six home runs on the weekend.
ACC counterpart NC State went 3-1 on the weekend, bringing the Raleigh total to seven games for the ACC and one for the Big Ten. Overall, the ACC won the Challenge for the third time in four years.

7: The Irish boast a seven-game win streak that includes a win over No. 21 Ole Miss, and two wins each over RV Illinois and RV Ohio State.
16: Notre Dame blanked Missouri State 16-0 last weekend, with eight runs scored in the second inning and eight in the third. It was the first shoutout of the season for the Irish, as Alexis Holloway notched the win and Morgan Ryan pitched the final two innings. The last time Notre Dame scored 16 runs was vs. Georgia Tech (May 3, 2019)
