Rowing Remains 17th in USRowing/CRCA Ranking

Notre Dame, Ind. – For the second consecutive week, the Notre Dame women’s rowing team is ranked 17th in this week’s USRowing/Collegaite Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll. The Irish, not ranked in the preseason, were 20th in the March 31st and then climbed three spots in last week’s poll.

Ohio State remained in the top position for the third consecutive week, earning 17 first-place votes. California was second with three first-place votes, followed by Princeton, Brown, Harvard, Virginia, Washington, Michigan, Yale and Michigan State.

Tennessee was 11th followed by Washington State, Wisconsin, Cornell, Boston University, Southern California, NOTRE DAME, Syracuse, Texas and Duke.

The Irish are off this weekend and will be in action next Saturday, April 24 when they face Boston University and Northeastern in Boston, Mass. One day later, on Sunday, April 25, Notre Dame will compete in the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge in Worcester, Mass.
