Annapolis, Md. – After being canceled earlier Friday, the rowing regatta scheduled for Saturday at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., will be raced after all starting at 6:30 a.m. The regatta had been canceled Friday due to high winds predicted for early Saturday morning in the Annapolis area, but after further review, it was decided to start the races earlier in the day to avert bad weather.

Notre Dame will challenge Navy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Saturday’s regatta with the Varsity Eight race starting at 6:30 a.m. The Second Varsity Eight will go at 6:45 a.m., followed by the Novice Eight at 7:00 a.m., the Novice Four at 7:15 a.m. and the Varsity Four at 7:30 a.m. SMU will only compete in the novice races.

Sunday’s races begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Varsity Four race.
