AS A JUNIOR (2015-16): Remained steady performer for the Irish, culminating at ACC Championship meet … at ACCs, swam to fifth place with 800 free relay (1:36.18 split) and individually finished 24th in 500 free (4:27.01 finals, 4:26.05 prelims), 22nd in the 400 IM (3:56.11 finals, 3:52.43 prelims) and 12th in the 200 fly (1:45.22 finals, 1:45.88 prelims) … finished the year racing at the Ohio State Last Chance meet in the 200 fly (1:44.01 prelims, 1:43.82 finals) and the 200 back (2:10.38) … began the year in first place in the 400 IM relay (53.28 leadoff split) at the Dennis Stark Relays, also earning fifth in the 300 fly relay (52.03 split) … won the 400 IM (4:02.31), claimed second in the 200 back (1:53.52) and fourth in the 400 medley relay (51.54 leadoff split) against Michigan State … at Virginia Tech, swan to 10th place in the 400 IM (4:08.97), 12th in the 200 back (1:57.17), 11th in the 200 IM (1:59.83) and ninth in the 100 back (53.82), helping 400 medley relay finish seventh (52.17 leadoff split) … struggled at Purdue Invitational but bounced back at Virginia, claiming fifth with the 400 medley relay (53.13 leadoff) and a pair of sixth place times in the 200 back (1:54.67) and 200 medley relay (23.94 leadoff) against the Cavaliers … versus Northwestern, touched the wall fourth in 200 back (1:51.99), fifth with the 200 medley relay (24.03 leadoff) and seventh in the 500 free (4:44.02) … in Shamrock Invitational, clocked in at 4:43.20 in 500 free and split 51.73 leading off the 400 medley relay … split 24.51 (leadoff) with 200 medley and 1:40.80 with 800 free relays, with 800 team taking third place … swam the 400 IM in 4:08.73, good for 12th place, and the 200 back (1:53.58) and 200 fly (1:54.17) saw him touch in 10th and ninth place respectively … named a men’s captain for 2016-17 season at end-of-year banquet and earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Had a stellar campaign with the Irish, setting the school record in the 400 IM and qualifying for NCAA Championship meet … at NCAA Championships, finished 49th in 500 free (4:22.99) and came in 29th in 200 back (1:42.61) … both times stand as personal bests … earned his highest finishes in the 400 IM (18th, 3:44.67) and anchoring the 800 free relay to 16th place (1:35.98 split, 6:25.54) … at Ohio State Last Chance Meet, swam a 3:45.63 in the 400 IM before time-trialing and qualifying for the NCAA Championship with a 3:43.03 showing … his time trial mark stands as the school record in the event, and earned him the team ‘Saco de Toro’ award, signifying “a person whose outstanding performance was defined by extraordinary `courage’ and `guts'” … at ACC Championship, earned an NCAA A-cut time with the 800 free relay (6:21.51), finishing fourth … came in 14th in the 500 free (4:24.87) after a 4:24.56 showing in the morning prelims … came in seventh in the 400 IM (3:47.45), touching the wall in 3:48.67 in the prelims … finished 11th in 200 back (1:44.11), with a 1:44.71 prelims time … started the year off at the Dennis Stark Relay meet, swimming first in the 3×100 back relay (51.45) … against Purdue, finished fifth in 100 back (51.31) and second in the 200 back (1:51.04) before logging a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM (1:55.45) … versus Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, came in second in the 400 IM (3:59.47) … led the C-team in 400 medley relay to sixth place (51.46) … placed eighth in 200 IM (1:54.50) … swam second in the B-team rotation in the 800 free relay (1:42.85), finishing fifth (6:56.87) … at Michigan State, logged a 1:55.18 time in the 200 fly … touched the wall in 1:55.20 in the 200 back … at Hawkeye Invitational, finished 11th in the 500 free (4:29.81) in the prelims, but withdrew from the evening final … placed fifth in the 200 IM (1:49.87), swimming the prelims in 1:50.73 … led the C-team in the 400 medley relay to a sixth-place showing (49.51, 3:20.82 relay) … placed second in the 400 IM (3:54.84) after a 3:57.15 time in the prelims … led the C-team in the 800 free relay to fourth place (1:39.71) with a time of 6:40.36 … came in seventh in the 200 back (1:47.14) … tied for eighth with the D-team in the 400 free relay (3:03.63) … against Michigan and Northwestern, touched the wall in 52.23 in the 100 back, good for ninth place … placed third in the 200 back (1:51.60) and in the 200 IM (1:54.08) … at Wisconsin, finished ninth in 100 back (55.67) and touched the wall in 2:04.22 in the 200 IM … in Shamrock Invitational, swam 500 free in 4:43.86 … led the C-team in 400 medley relay (51.45), finishing seventh (3:26.21) … placed second in 400 IM (4:00.49) … touched the wall seventh in the 200 back (1:52.37) … finished the regular season against Cleveland State, touching in second in the 1,000 free (9:44.08) … earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN (2013-14): Came on strong toward the end of the season, racking up impressive showings at both the NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships … set individual program records in the preliminary 400 IM (3:45.82) and 200 backstroke (1:44.05) at the ACC Championships, while also checking in at 4:24.06 in the 500 free … one of seven swimmers to represent Notre Dame at the NCAA Championships, helping the 200 free relay team to a 26th-place finish in the preliminary round (1:20.93) while also aiding the 800 free relay team to a 19th-place finish in the preliminary round (6:26.18) … earned a pair of victories at the Hawkeye Invitational, blitzing past the field in the 400 IM (3:46.22) and contributing to the 800 free relay team’s first-place finish (6:32.15) … earned a monogram.
