Tough-minded competitor who providesdepth in athleticism for the foil squad … waswalk-on defensive back with University ofKansas football team in 2006 beforetransferring to Notre Dame, where he isreunited with his Kanza Fencing Center clubcoach, assistant Gia Kvaratskhelia.A very soundtechnical fencer who rises to the challenge inbig matches.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Ended the seasonwith a final record of 37-10 (.787) competingin the foil after sitting out due to transferringthe previous year … helped the men go 4-1overall at the 2008 NCAA WesternInvititational and compiled an individual recordof 10-1 at the event … posted an individualmark of 5-3 in competition at the New YorkUniversity Duals and helped the team accrue a5-1 record against the competition … earnedeight match victories (8-2) on day-one of theNorthwestern Duals … moved his individualrecord to 29-7 at the conclusion of theNorthwestern Duals after posting a day-twomark of 6-1 … continued impressive campaignat the Notre Dame Duals by tallying an 8-3record and helping the team earn a clean sweepof the competition posting a perfect 10-0ledger … earned the #17 seed in the Midwest Fencing Conference (MFC) Championshipsbefore dropping a dual in the round of 16 …helped the Irish finish second in the teamstandings at the conference championships.
