AS A SENIOR (2009): Continued her trend of consistent and reliable play for the Irish around the net … named a National Strength Coaches Association (NSCA) All-American for her work on the court and in the weight room … boasted a team-best 1.05 blocks/set, which was 10th overall among league players … her 1.28 blocks/set in conference play was seventh in the BIG EAST … unleashed a season-high six kills in the 2009 opener with Denver (Aug. 28) and added three blocks … landed three of her six attacks for points against Stanford (Aug. 29) … five blocks against Wisconsin (Sept. 11) … four blocks against Connecticut (Sept. 25) and Villanova (Oct. 4) … season-best seven block performance came versus Cincinnati (Oct. 10) … two kills and four blocks during a four-set win over Louisville (Oct. 11) … four kills (.500) and five blocks for 7.0 points in a road victory at Pittsburgh (Oct. 17) … four kills (.667) and four blocks in a four-set home win versus Seton Hall (Oct. 31) … went for five kills (.625) and five blocks to close out her home career with a 3-1 win over USF (Nov. 15) … recorded three blocks in a five-set defeat to Louisville (Nov. 21) in the BIG EAST Tournament.
AS A JUNIOR (2008): A steady force at the net for the Irish, complimenting Justine Stremick and Kellie Sciacca in the middle … averaged 1.00 blocks/set with 37 block assists and four solo stuffs … saw action in 41 sets … tacked on 1.67 points/set with a .235 attack pct. and 37 kills … served at a .903 clip with nine aces … aced the opposition at least twice in three of her first five matches played on the season … started the season with five kills on 13 swings (.231) and four blocks against IPFW (Aug. 29) … had eight blocks in back-to-back matches against Valparaiso (Aug. 31) and Eastern Washington (Sept. 5) … put down three kills at Idaho (Sept. 6) … two kills and five blocks at USF (Sept. 26) … recorded a season-high nine kills with three blocks at Georgetown (Sept. 28) for 10.5 points … blocked five shots at Long Beach State (Oct. 21) … also scooped 12 shots throughout the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007): Had a hand in 38 blocks (0.51 blocks/set) while seeing action in 74 sets and 24 matches … also recorded 11 kills, eight assists and six digs … matched a career high with seven blocks against Villanova (Sept. 30) … had a season-high three kills against Rutgers (Oct. 6) when she also recorded a .750 hitting average in the three-set affair … posted multi-kill efforts against UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 14), Seton Hall (Sept. 29) and Marquette (Oct. 12) … had two assists in contests with Marquette and No. 17 Louisville (Nov. 11) … also finished with a .667 average against the Golden Eagles … tacked on 4.5 points against Villanova (Sept. 30) … recorded at least one block in all but seven of the matches in which she played … part of a blocking core that helped Notre Dame rank 20th in the nation with 3.09 blocks/set as a team.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006): Talented middle blocker began the season with a career-best seven blocks against Bowling Green (Sept. 28) … had a career-high five kills against Idaho (Sept. 2) in the Shamrock Invitational … collected the first two solo blocks of her career against Kansas State (Sept. 9) in the Northern Iowa Invitational … started the first match of her career at Northern Iowa (Sept. 9) … also started against Butler (Sept. 15) and Syracuse (Oct. 8) … contributed 21 kills, 24 blocks (0.75/set) and 37.5 points … saw playing time in 32 sets.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Part of a seven-person incoming class that Volleyball Magazine and PrepVolleyball.com ranked among the top five groups in the country … rated the No. 97 sophomore in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com in 2003 … capped off a terrific prep career at Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) by leading her team to a trio of appearances in the state championship – including victories in 2003 and 2005 – and a three-year record of 88-9 … finished her high school playing days as the school[apos]s all-time leader in career kills and second in blocks … Cardinal Gibbons retired her #16 playing jersey … North Carolina High School Athletic Association[apos]s 2A all-state selection and a Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman nominee in 2005 after also being named the Cardinal Gibbons Female Athlete of the Year … MVP of the 2005 Tiger Invitational Tournament … TISACC Conference Player of the Year in 2004 … her club team, Triangle, won regional titles in 2002, 2005 and 2006 … paced Triangle to a fifth-place finish at the 2005 USA Junior Olympics … valedictorian of her graduating class … member of the National Honor Roll Society … first North Carolina product to suit up for the Notre Dame volleyball program … only two previous Notre Dame monogram winners have hailed from her hometown of Raleigh, N.C. – football players Winston Sandri (1988-90) and William David Thomas (2005) … full name is Tara Marie Enzweiler … daughter of Mary Ann and Mark Enzweiler … attended Notre Dame with two younger brothers … each of the three siblings were named high school valadictorian at Cardinal Gibbins … last name is pronounced ENZ-while-er … earned a spot on the Dean[apos]s list in the spring of 2008 … member of Notre Dame[apos]s Academic Honors Program … graduated from the College of Science with a degree in science business.
