  • Participated in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Will Cumberland, Charles Korndorffer, and Alec Delong (1:32.63).  Participated in the 100-yard Breaststroke (57.84).  Participated in the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:07.84). Participated in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay with Matthew Limbacher, Nicholas chase, and Michael Rosa (3:13.57) vs. Florida State.
  • Participated in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Jack Fitzpatrick, Carson Wilburn, Alec Delong (1:32.38). Participated in the 100-yard Breaststroke (57.56).  Participated in the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:06.33). Participated in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay with Matthew Limbacher, Josh Bottelberghe, and Will Barao (3:11.14) vs. Kentucky and IU.

  • Participated in the 100-yard Breast (54.14).  Participated in the 200-yard Breast (1:58.18) at the ACC Championship.

AS A JUNIOR (2018-19):

  • Earned NCAA B Cut in the 100 yard breaststroke.
  • Earned a spot on the ACC Championship team.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18):

  • Opened the season with a fourth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.74) and a fifth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (:57.94) against No. 7 Louisville.
  • Against Illinois and Iowa, placed fourth in both the 100 breaststroke (:57.25) and the 200 breaststroke (2:05.83).
  • Finished second in the 100 breaststroke (:57.23) against Ball State and Green Bay.
  • Finished the season strong at the Ohio State Winter Invite, placing first in the 200 IM (1:50.67), third in the 200 breaststroke (1:58.29), and fifth in the 100 breaststroke (:54.89) while posting career-best times in all three events.
  • Monogram Award Recipient.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17):

•    Had a strong performance against Indiana State and Oakland, placing second in the 100 breaststroke (:58.14) and winning his first collegiate race in the 200 breaststroke (2:07.26).
•    Placed second in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.17) against Iowa and Illinois.
•    Against Northwestern, finished third in the 200 breaststroke (2:06.72) and fourth in the 100 breaststroke (:58.41).
•    Finished first in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.61) against IUPUI and Indiana State.

PREP AND PERSONAL:

  •  Was a PIAA State medalist as a freshman in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Has broken the Pennsylvania District 10 record in the 100 breaststroke every season since freshman year.
  • Ranked in top 10 in the nation for USA Swimming Age Group Rankings for 100 breaststroke, and has done so for the last four years.
  • Was Eastern Zone Champion in the 100 breaststroke at age 13 with club team, the Millcreek Swim Team.
  • As a freshman, won in District 10 in 100 breaststroke, 200 IM, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.
  • Medaled at the Pennsylvania state meet in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Named high school team rookie of the year, and was honored with all-state and All-America accolades.
  • As a sophomore, repeated as District 10 champion in the 100 breaststroke, 200 IM and 200 medley relay, adding a championship in the 400 freestyle relay.
  • Also medaled at the Pennsylvania state meet in the 100 breaststroke and 200 medley relay.
    Earned all-state and All-America honors.
  • As a junior, repeated as District 10 champion and medaled at state meet in 100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay, earning all-state and All-America honors en route.
  • Was honored as a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American at start of senior campaign and holds school record in the 100 breaststroke (:55.73).
  • Attended same high school as current Irish footballer John Chereson and swimming alumni Tom VanVolkenburg, Frank Krakowski and relatives Doug and Billy Bauman.
  • Graduated from Cathedral Prep in June of 2016.
  • Also earned four varsity letters in water polo.
  • Youngest child of Keith and Jane Riley.
  • Has an older brother, Sam.
  • Favorite place at Notre Dame is St. Joseph’s Lake.
