JUNIOR SEASON (2015):Started the first two games of the season at quarterback, contests against Texas (Sept. 5) and Virginia (Sept. 12) … suffered a broken ankle at Virginia and was lost for the season … completed 26-of-40 passes for 428 yards and four TDs … rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries … five of his 17 carries went for a first down or touchdown … one of his three carries on third down resulted in a first down or touchdown … recorded four rushes of at least 10 yards and one rush of at least 20 yards … six completions of at least 20 yards and three of at least 30 yards … completed 19-of-22 passes (86.4%) for 313 yards and three TDs in the season-opening rout of Texas (Sept. 5) … became just the fifth Notre Dame player to throw for at least 300 yards in a season opener … that 86.4% completion percentage against the Longhorns ranks second in school history for a single game and the best since 1984 … ran the ball 10 times for 87 yards and was 7-for-18 passing for 115 yards and one TD against the Cavaliers.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Played in seven of the 13 games … registered his first career start in the 31 28 Music City Bowl victory over No. 22 LSU (Dec. 30) … earned Music City Bowl Most Valuable Player honors … took over holding duties on field goals and PATs vs. Northwestern (Nov. 15) … completed 21 of 35 passes for 266 yards and one TD on the season .. added 187 yards rushing on 33 carries, including a pair of TD runs and a 56-yard scamper … one of 20 Irish players who made his career debut in the season-opening victory over Rice (Aug. 30) … on first career snap recorded a 56-yard run … longest rush by a Notre Dame quarterback since Oct. 8, 2011, when Andrew Hendrix had a 78 yard rush against Air Force … added a couple carries for nine yards in the 31-0 rout of Michigan (Sept. 6) … played the final minute of the loss at No. 11 Arizona State (Nov. 8) … had a six-yard carry against the Sun Devils … executed holds on four PATs and two field-goal attempts, against the Wildcats … held for three field-goal attempts and a pair of PAT tries against Louisville (Nov. 22) … saw the most extensive playing time of his career at USC (Nov. 29), leading the Irish on five drives in relief of Everett Golson … led the Irish on a pair of touchdown drives … completed nine of 20 passes for 170 yards, including a 49-yard pass play with junior WR Chris Brown … also ran for 18 yards on six carries, including a long run of 14 yards and an 11-yard TD rush … completed 12 of 15 passes for 96 yards and one TD vs. LSU (Dec. 30) … also ran for 96 yards and one TD on 22 carries … established or equaled single-game highs for points scored, TDs, rushes, rush yards, rush TDs, completions, pass TDs, total offense attempts, total offense yards and all-purpose yards.
