FRESHMAN SEASON (2005-06): Averaged 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds … played in 27 contests and made nine starts … saw action in first 25 contests, but did not play in the Providence, DePaul, and Vanderbilt games … earned first career start against Alabama and then made consecutive starts in the Florida International, IPFW and Niagara contests … was in the starting lineup for four straight games against Fordham, Wofford, Pittsburgh and DePaul, in addition to the matchup at West Virginia … netted double figures on two occasions when he scored 11 points in both the Fordham and Pittsburgh contests … against the Rams connected on 4-8 shots from the field (2-4 from three-point range) for his first-ever double-figure scoring effort … tied a career-high with nine rebounds in the game … was 4-12 from the field against the Panthers and 3-10 from three-point range in playing a career-high38 minutes in double-overtime loss … grabbed career-high nine rebounds on three occasions… his first nine-rebound outing came against Hofstra in his second collegiate outing … eight of his nine rebounds came in the second half … in addition to his nine boards also scored six points on two three-pointers … scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds in loss to Michigan … finished with seven points and hauled in four rebounds against Florida International … grabbed seven rebounds and scored four points in win over Niagara … one of his best all-around efforts of the season came in the win over Fordham as he finished with 11 points and nine rebounds … connected on 3-5 from three-point range against Wofford in addition to grabbing nine boards … pulled down nine rebounds for the third time during his rookie season against Syracuse when he also scored six points and blocked two shots … finished with eight points and four rebounds against Villanova … grabbed seven rebounds in the loss to DePaul … played 20-plus minutes in nine games … was a member of the Athletes in Action team that captured the gold medal at the 2006 William Jones Cup in Taipei City, Taiwan.
