AS A JUNIOR: Raced with the third varsity four and first novice eight boats … in season opening race at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational in the Saturday morning session, finished second with a time of 7:50.745 … in the afternoon session, rowed with the first novice eight boat, earning a runner-up finish with a 7:19.360 readout … raced with the first novice eight boat in the Sunday session, placing second (7:15.461) … rowed the novice eight/third varsity eight boat to a pair of first place finishes at the Dale England Cup, crossing the finish line with times of 6:57.50 and 6:50.30 while beating Alabama and Rhode Island.
AS A SOPHOMORE:Raced in multiple boats with the Irish … appeared in the first novice eight B-team boat at Michigan State, coming in third with a time of 7:47.90 … switched over to the second novice eight boat for the afternoon session and came in second behind the Spartan crew with an 8:08.50 mark … raced with the first novice eight B-team and the third varsity four boat at the Dale England Cup, coming in third in both races … with the eight crew, crossed the finish line in 7:47.2 and helped the Irish four boat stroke in to third at a rate of 9:37.7.
AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite against Kansas and Buffalo as part of the Irish third varsity eight boat, finishing with a time of 7:00.17 to earn a second-place result … helped the third varsity eight ‘B’ boat to a third place finish (7:30.70) at the BIG EAST Invite, beating Iowa ‘B’ and Rutgers.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Played setter for her high school volleyball team all four years while at Cape Elizabeth High School … also played club volleyball with Maine Junior Olympics Volleyball … also swam for her high school team her freshman, sophomore, and junior year … swam on the Coastal Maine Aquatics club team … member of the National Honor Society … played in the Jazz Band and studied piano … was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist … named an AP Scholar with Honors … received the Smith College Book Award … born in Portland, Maine … daughter of Jonathan and Kate Hewitt … grandfather played football for Notre Dame … aunt also attended Notre Dame … has three siblings- Forest, Quinn, and Dylan … recently completed the First Year of Studies program … currently enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters.
