AS A SENIOR: Rowed with the varsity eight boat where her team blue crew won two of three races against Notre Dame gold and Northeastern … competed at the Pac-10 challenge in the second varsity eight boat that defeated Stanford (7:13.26) and UCLA (7:29.9) … sat in the second varsity eight boat splitting two races against Michigan State … finished first place at the Indiana Invite in the second varsity eight crossing the line in 6:32.5 … rowed with the second varsity eight at the Charles River Challenge winning two of three races … sat in the second varsity eight that won the gold medal at the BIG EAST Championships with a time of 6:51.80 … helped the second varsity eight boat earn a third-place finish in the Grand Finals of the Central/South Region Championship (6:43.20) … at Head of the Rock helped the Irish to an impressive second-place finish (15:42.05) in the varsity eight division that featured 23 entries … at the Cal-Sag Regatta helped the Irish varsity crew to an eighth place finish out of 22 entries … later her crew would win the varsity eight final B fleet with a time of 6:58.534 beating Iowa (7:01.695), Wisconsin (7:01.701) and Indiana (7:02.819) … two-year monogram winner … named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team on two occasions.

AS A JUNIOR: Rowed with second varsity eight crew in the regatta against Tennessee and Minnesota … was in the second varsity eight boat in victory over Alabama and Cincinnati as her crew posted a time of 6:49.85 and in regatta against Michigan, Michigan State and Clemson … rowed all three races versus California, Stanford and UCLA at the Windemere Classic … her crew defeated Stanford with a winning time of 7:54.01.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw action in both the eight and four boats … led varsity four boat to 11th-place finish overall after taking fifth in Petite Final at NCAA Championships with a time of 8:01.96, helping Notre Dame to a ninth-place finish in overall team standings in first-ever appearance in team competition … was in the Notre Dame ‘B’ boat in the varsity eight race at the Lubbers Cup as crew finished fourth with a time of 7:19.09 … took second in open at San Diego Crew Classic as her boat finished with a time of 7:32.11 … rowed with the varsity four at Indiana Classic and earned two second-place finishes … member of varsity four boat at BIG EAST Championship that copped gold medal with a time of 7:33.00 as Notre Dame captured its third straight team crown … took fourth in Petite Final in varsity four race at Central/South Region Championships with a time of 7:47.87 … finished fourth in the opening regatta in the piece one race clocking in at 10:01.00 … in the piece two competition in a time of 9:42.00 her crew finished fifth … rowed in the four seat in the piece three race and finished third among 11 entries … collected a 10th-place finish in the open eight at the Head of the Rock … at the Notre Dame Invitational her crew placed sixth in the varsity four in a time of 16:58.0.

AS A FRESHMAN: Member of the novice eight for the 2004-2005 season … capped the year finishing seventh at the Central/South Region Sprints … second place finish at the BIG EAST Championships … victorious over Yale (6:50.8) … defeated Cincinnati… first place versus Purdue and Louisville and claimed victory over Indiana and Purdue … finished first (7:19.49) in the Collegiate Petite Final at the San Diego Crew Classic … finished against versus Tennessee. Sat in the six seat for the novice for the fall … finished fourth along with her novice eight-a crew at the Head of the Elk competition in a time of 17:03.1 … also placed sixth with her eight crew at the Head of the Elk with a time of 17:26.0.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Played volleyball and soccer and ran cross country and track during her career at Heritage High School … travel soccer team was the 2001 U17 Michigan Premier League travel soccer championship team and won the U19 7-11 Soccer Tournament in 2003 … served on the executive committee of Youth F.O.R.C.E., the youth board of the Saginaw Community Foundation … a member of the National Honor Society…participated in drama, choir, and Hype in high school … completed a year of Nation Service in Boston between high school and college through City Year, an AmeriCorps program … uncle, John Cowan was a captain of the University of Missouri football team and aunt, Maureen Finnigan, ran cross country for Notre Dame in 1987 … father attended Notre Dame … oldest of Joseph and Kristan Outwater Madison[apos]s three children … born Nov. 10, 1984 in Boston, Mass. … graduated with a degree in biology from the College of Science.
