AS A JUNIOR: Posted a 71-15 record for theIrish in the regular season … her 71 wins were themost of any Notre Dame fencer (men or women)… her 86 bouts participated in were the secondmoston the women[apos]s team, as Ashley Serette ledthe Irish with 91 appearances … recorded an .826winning percentage … went 13-2 at the WesternInvite … recorded a 5-2 win over Stanford[apos]sBrittany Leader at the event and an overtime winover Air Force[apos]s Eliza Enyart … registered an 11-7mark at the NYU Duals, helping Notre Dame toa 4-2 record … had a perfect 8-0 record on daytwoof the Northwestern Duals … went 12-6 onthe competition[apos]s first day … posted a team-best27-0 record at the Notre Dame duals … amongher 27 victories was her 150th collegiate win …at the Midwest Regionals she finished in seventh place … to begin her run at the Regionals, posteda 4-1 record in her first round pool … earned thefourth seed in the direct elimination rounds …advanced to the final round by beating ClevelandState[apos]s Courtney Zemkosky (15-3) and OhioState[apos]s Alexandra Obrazcova (15-11) … droppeda 14-13 decision in the final round when pittedaginst Obrazcova again … then beatNorthwestern[apos]s Joanna Niklinska (15-13) to takeseventh … placed seventh at the annual PennState Open, in the fall of 2007.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in nearly70 regular-season bouts (43-24) before helpingIrish women[apos]s epee team win conference title …posted eighth-place individual finish at NCAAMidwest Regional … had pair of wins to helpIrish women edge Ohio State at ND Duals (14-13), with early 5-2 bout vs. Elyse Gurnowskibefore shutting out Alexandra Obrazcova (leavingOSU with 11-10 lead) … went 13-7 at ND Dualsand 11-6 at NYU Duals … at NYU Duals hadtimely mid-match win (5-4) over Northwestern[apos]sCourtney DuBois, as the Irish women wonanother 14-13 thriller … posted other top winsat NYU vs. Columbia[apos]s Rachel Rowe (5-2) andSt. John[apos]s All-American Joanna Guy (5-4) …added 4-0 record at Midwest Duals (at ND) anda 5-6 mark at Duke Duals where her 2-1 winover Brynne Thoreson helped ND rally past AirForce … closed regular season with 12-1 mark atNorthwestern Duals … amongst her 12 winswere a 5-3 win over Penn State[apos]s Katherine Cookand two wins over fencers from the home team(5-3 vs. Kayley French; 4-3 vs. JoannaNiklinska) … her 3-2 bout with LeslieLampman helped Irish women[apos]sepeeists top Ohio State for MidwestFencing Conference title (5-3) …earlier had 5-2 win over Wayne State[apos]sAlice Schneider in team semifinals (5-4) … entered Midwest Regional (atND) as #10 seed but improved to #4after pool bouts … used 15-9 win overOSU[apos]s Elyse Gurnowski to earn spot inRegional final eight … followed upwith losses to Lampman (11-15) andNorthwestern twins Kayley (12-15)and Christa (9-15) French … placed25th at Penn State Open (#14 seed) infall of [apos]06, with 5-4 win over #6 seedKristin Howell of Temple … finished13th at North American Cup inAlbuquerque, N.M.
