AS A SENIOR: Entered third season as main coxswain for the second varsity eight boat … earned BIG EAST Crew of the Week honors (April 8) for her boat[apos]s efforts at the San Diego Crew Classic … led crew to a second-place result against Michigan State in the opening event of the spring season, posting a time of 7:32.03 … coxed her boat to its first victory of the season the following day against Indiana and Purdue, completing the course in 5:46.60 … at the San Diego Crew Classic, qualified her boat for the grand final by finishing second in the prelim heat with a time of 7:06.49 … went on to finish in fifth in the grand final with a time of 7:09.47 … posted a third-place finish at the four-team regatta hosted by Ohio State in the morning session, crossing the finish gate at 6:41.14 … grabbed a runner-up finish in the afternoon session by recording a time of 6:36.78 … earned a pair of victories at the BIG EAST Championships, winning the prelim heat with a time of 7:11.400 and then holding off Louisville for the gold medal in the grand final in a time of 6:42.547 … coxed her boat to a petite final victory at the South/Central Sprints, crossing the finish line in 6:27.10 … the boat earned a lane in the race by finishing the prelim heat in second place (6:37.83) and then securing fourth in the semifinal heat (6:16.00) … served as the coxswain for the varsity four ‘B’ boat where they registered a time of 18:11.80, good for eighth place (30 entries) … later coxed the varsity eight ‘C’ boat at the Southland Regatta where her crew finished the course in a time of 17:21.43 … the finish placed the boat in the ‘D’ final where they crossed the finish line with a time of 7:08.50 … member of BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team … awarded second monogram with the Irish.

AS A JUNIOR: Saw time as the coxswain with the varsity eight and second varsity eight boats … led varsity eight blue to two first-place finishes and a second-place finish against Northeastern in the season opener … helped the varsity eight to a first-place win against UCLA (7:25.1) at the Pac-10 Challenge … guided the varsity eight to victories over Michigan State and Miami (Fla.) … took first place at the Indiana Invite (6:25.0) … served as coxswain for the varsity eight and led her crew to two first-place finishes and a third-place finish at the Charles River Challenge … steered the second varsity eight at the BIG EAST Championship to a first-place showing (6:51.80) … coxed the second varsity eight to a third-place finish in the Grand Final at the Central/South Region Championships … coxswain of the Irish crew that finished second (15:42.05) behind Wisconsin in the varsity eight division at Head of the Rock … then led her Notre Dame boat to an eighth-place finish out of 23 entries in the varsity eight division at the Cal-Sag Regatta…in the same competition she led the Irish to a first place finish in the varsity eight final B group with a time of 6:58.534 … named to BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team and earned first monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Versatile coxswain led first and second varsity four, as well as second varsity eight during the season … coxed the second varsity four boat to a win at the Lubbers Cup with a time of 9:11.05 … led the varsity four ‘B’ crew to a second-place finish behind the Irish[apos]s ‘A’ boat, defeating Cincinnati with a time of 8:01.02 … coxswain for one of three second varsity four races against Tennessee and Minnesota … coxed the Irish[apos]s varsity four ‘A’ boat to a second place finish out of 24 boats at the Head of the Rock.

AS A FRESHMAN: Served as coxswain of the second varsity four boat at Indiana Classic … also coxed the Notre Dame ‘B’ boat to a sixth-place finish in the Grand Finals of the Central/South Region Championship … coxswain for piece two in opening-season regatta where her boat placed eighth … finished ninth in the piece three race in a time of 10:11.00 … at the Head of the Rock her boat placed 23rd (19:42.99) in the open eight … in the open four-b her boat finished in a time of 17:41.49 which earned them an impressive fourth-place finish out of 15 boats at the Head of the Elk.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Collected two letters in rowing in her high school career … participated in the Badger State Games where she won 2nd place in the junior women[apos]s 4 and 1st places in the mixed open 8 and the junior men[apos]s 4 in 2005, 1st place in the master men 4 and the junior women[apos]s 4 in 2004 .. .participated in the Tail of the Fox placing 1st in the master men[apos]s 4 and 3rd in the junior women[apos]s 4 … participated in Head of the Schulkill Regatta in [apos]03 and [apos]04 … raced and trained with the Master men of the Milwaukee rowing club last summer … placed 2nd in a triathlon…active in National Honor Society and Student Government, secretary of Pastoral Ministry Council and sports editor of the school newspaper … from the same hometown as Notre Dame tennis player Katie Potts…daughter of Mel and Bridget Otero … father Mel participated in rowing at Loyola Marymount University and was also a rowing coach at the University of California-San Diego … born April 30, 1987 in Orange, Calif. … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as a marketing major.
