Competitive, hard-working player who continues to develop her all-around skills … has nice stick skills and the ability to catch in space … has stepped up her play as she looks to get into the regular rotation for the Irish … has good speed and quickness and excels in the transition game … is one of eight sets of sisters to play at Notre Dame … older sister, Kristen, is an `04 graduate and played on two NCAA tournament teams … she also served as a volunteer-assistant coach in 2005 … played at an outstanding high school program at St. Mary[apos]s in Annapolis, Md. … selected to the Deans List in fall of `05 … has played in two games with one ground ball.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Two-sport athlete at St. Mary[apos]s High School … won three letters in field hockey and two in lacrosse … was team captain of both teams in her senior year … named MVP of field hockey team and all-conference and all-county in field hockey … selected to play in the Maryland State High School Field Hockey Coaches Association senior all-star game in 2004 … as a senior in lacrosse helped St. Mary[apos]s to a 17-5 record while scoring 37 goals with nine assists … selected second-team all-county … scored game-winning goal in conference-championship game as a senior … was a U.S. Lacrosse Association academic All-American as a senior … full name is Kelly Catherine Gaudreau … daughter of Bill and Cathy Gaudreau … has one sister and one brother … comes from a Notre Dame family as father Bill, grandfather; Bill Sr. and uncle Dave (`85) graduated from Notre Dame, as did sister Kristen (`04), and brother Andrew (`06) … Bill Sr. played football under Irish great Frank Leahy … born Nov. 15, 1987, in Baltimore, Md. … becomes the sixth St. Mary[apos]s alum to play at Notre Dame, joining former teammate Brittany Fox `06 and graduates Jess Mikula `05, Kristen Gaudreau `04, Jen White `03 and Tina Fedarcyk `02 … Psychology major in the College of Arts and Letters.
