Was an honorable mention All-American in the 200 IM for the third consecutive season as she placed 13th nationally … has now earned All-American honors five-times in her career … was the BIG EAST Champion in the 400 IM while taking home all-BIG EAST honors in seven events … has now won 11 BIG EAST titles in her first three seasons and has taken home all-BIG East honors 21 times in her career …swam the team best mark three times in the 200 freestyle, setting the school record with her time of 1:48.73 against Minnesota … her 500 freestyle time of 4:47.87 at the BIG EAST Championships was the school’s fourth best ever time … clocked a season best time of 16:37.58 in 1650 freestyle at the Notre Dame Invitational … had the team’s eight best times in the 200 butterfly with a season best of 2:00.04 at the BIG EAST Championships … her 400 IM time (4:14.37) allowed her to be crowned champion in the event … aided the 200 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay to second place finishes at the BIG EAST Championships … the 400 medley relay time of 1:41.91 was a new school record …won the Team MVP for the second consecutive season …named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star for the second time … qualified for the NCAAs in three events (200 IM, 400 IM and 200 butterfly) … part of the record-holding 800 freestyle relay team from the Dennis Stark Relays (7:32.87) … also set a new Notre Dame Invitational 1,650 freestyle mark in a time of 16:37.50 AS A SOPHOMORE
Recovered from an early-season injury to post an All-America encore to an outstanding freshman season … named team Most Valuable Player … Notre Dame’s top swimmer who was able to post 10 victories in her limited dual meet season … after competing in the Dennis Stark Relays, she did not compete again until after the holiday training trip to Saint Lucia … Notre Dame’s leader at the BIG EAST Championship, claiming two individual titles (both IMs) and four relay victories … finished first in the 200 IM at the BIG EAST meet in 2:01.35 and followed up with a 4:15.55 winning time in the 400 IM … that 400 IM time earned her an automatic berth in the NCAA Championship … ruled in the relays during 2004-05, helping the Irish claim BIG EAST titles in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay … also earned all-BIG EAST honors in the 200 butterfly (third) and 200 medley relay (third) … the 800 free relay time of 7:16.95 set the school record and was ranked 16th in the NCAA … showed up at the NCAA meet, posting her season-best times in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM … finished sixth in the 400 IM at the NCAA meet, becoming an All-American for the first time in 4:13.56 … ended up 14th in the 200 IM with a 2:00.75 effort to earn honorable mention All-America accolades … also competed in the 200 butterfly at the NCAA meet, touching the wall in 2:00.48 to finish 21st. AS A FRESHMAN Had one of the finest seasons by a rookie in Notre Dame history … became first Irish freshman ever to be named honorable mention All-America in multiple events … named BIG EAST Championships Most Outstanding Swimmer after becoming just the fourth rookie ever to win three individual races in the event … qualified for NCAA Championships, taking ninth in 200 IM, 14th in 400 IM, and tied for 32nd in 100 free … moved up 13 spots from seeding in 200 IM, winning consolation final in a time that would have been sixth in the championship final … it was the best-ever finish for an Irish rookie … rose 21 spots from seeding in 400 IM … broke Notre Dame records in both individual medleys (1:58.52 and 4:13.13), with times that ranked eighth and 16th, respectively, in Division I … bettered 200-yard mark in winning the BIG EAST title with a meet-record time of 2:00.65, which stands as the fastest-ever yards time by an Irish swimmer in the race … both times in NCAAs converted to quicker than that mark … set Irish meters records in 200 IM (2:12.28) and 400 IM (4:42.51) in that meet after setting 800-meter freestyle school record (8:51.10) at Texas A&M Invitational … swam on 800 free relay team that broke Irish record in runner-up finish in BIG EAST Championships (7:20.12) … also took part in relays that set Notre Dame meters records in 400 free (3:51.80) and 800 free (8:20.92) … also claimed conference titles in 100 free and 100 fly … swam on three runner-up relays: 400 medley, 400 free, and 800 free … earned all-BIG EAST accolades in all seven events and shared high-point honors in the meet with Rutgers’ Kelly Harrigan (95.5 points) … earned berth to national championships with NCAA ‘A’ cut in 200 IM… also had NCAA ‘B’ cuts in 100 free, 100 fly, and 400 IM (in Texas A&M Invitational) … 200 free (1:32.66) and 400 free relays (3:23.00) both ranked 25th in Division I, while 800 free and 400 medley (3:44.81) were both 27th … also ranked 30th in nation in 100 fly (season-best 54.29) and tied for 49th in 100 free (50.14) … was among team’s top four in nine of 14 individual events (did not swim any of the other five) … was team leader in five events: 100 free, 500 free (4:56.43), 100 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM … posted all of team’s four best times in 100 free and 200 IM, as well as the top three in 400 IM … qualified for BIG EAST Championships in team-high eight events, but could swim only three per conference rules … did not swim 400 IM despite having the fastest time in the BIG EAST during the regular season (4:17.86, Texas A&M Invitational) … ranked among the league’s 10 best swimmers during the regular season in each of the events she did not swim: first in 400 IM, fourth in 200 fly (2:03.23), fifth in 200 free (1:51.44), seventh in 500 free (4:58.10), tied for eighth in 50 free (23.86) … posted conference’s top regular season time in 200 IM (2:02.04, Texas A&M Invitational) and was second-quickest in 100 free (51.14, vs. Illinois).
