FRESHMAN SEASON (2018-19)

• Averaged 14.5 minutes/game in 26 appearances. Scored in 15-of-26 games played.

• Started in the first three games in place of Mabrey, before missing five straight games due to concussion protocol.  Missed another five-game stretch due to a hamstring, later returing during the ACC Tournament.

• Hit a trey in her NCAA Championship debut in the First Round vs Bethune-Cookman on March 23.

• Behind a 4-for-4 day from the free-throw line vs Georgia Tech (2/3), Nixon recorded 8 points

• Played a career high 33 minutes at UNC (1/27), where she dished out 4 assists.

• Posted her second best showing of the season vs Pitt (1/3), recording 9 points, which included a season best 4-for-4 day from the free-throw line, to go with her 4 assists and 2 steals.

• Grabbed a season high 5 rebounds vs Lehigh (12/30) to go with her 4 assists.

• Produced a career high 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting vs WKU (12/19). Nixon converted a career best 3-of-4 from three-point range.

• Dished out a season best 5 assists vs Penn (11/12).

• Shot 3-for-3 from the field at No. 15 DePaul, totaling 6 points.

• First true freshman point guard to start the season since Lindsay Allen back in 2013.

• Named to the 2018 ACC Preseason Newcomer Watch List

High School:

  • Averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals at Mary Louis Academy as a senior.
  • Was ranked 56th overall and 12th by position by ESPN.
  • Tallied seven points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals at the 2018 McDonald’s All-American game.
  • Led Mary Louis Academy to three titles – the 2017 Borough, City and State Championship, as the latter marked the school’s first ever New York State Catholic School AA Championship. Nixon had 21 points and 12 rebounds in the final.
  • Averaged 20.1 points, 8.0 assists and 10.0 rebounds as a junior
  • Led her iEXCEL AAU team to three national titles – the Nike Chicago tournament, the Basketball on the Bayou in New Orleans and the Nike Tournament of Champions in Atlanta.
