AS A SENIOR: Named a 2013 CRCA National Scholar-Athlete … competed in the fall with the women’s championship eight boat at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta … in a field featuring US rowing and Rowing Canada Aviron, the Irish crew finished 12th with a time of 17:21.23 … throughout the season, rowed with the first varsity eight boat … at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, won first race before crossing behind defending NCAA champion Virginia in the second race … surged ahead of Louisville and Miami in final race of the weekend, setting a pace of 6:39.50 … for its efforts in Tennessee, the Notre Dame first eight was named BIG EAST Boat of the Week (March 20) … won both races at Michigan State, besting Iowa then the host Spartans … crossed first ahead of Michigan in 6:53.50 in the morning race at the Ohio State Invitational, but fell to the eventual national champion Ohio State boat in the afternoon, crossing in 7:21.26 … fell to west coast foes USC and California at Lake Natoma Invitational before pulling together and surging ahead of Washington State and Wisconsin to win the final race in 6:30.30 … won three races at the fifth annual Dale England Cup, beating Alabama in 6:45.5, Iowa in 6:46.4 and host Indiana in 7:26.5 … won grand final race at the BIG EAST Championship with a time of 6:49.656 … came in third in the preliminary heat at NCAA Championship regatta, boasting a time of 7:07.338 … in the repechage competition, also placed third behind rivals Stanford and Yale at a pace of 7:06.656 … won the C/D semifinal race with a time of 7:37,292, and went on to finish first in the third final, posting 13th place overall in 6:36.141 … earned a monogram.

AS A JUNIOR: Competed in multiple boats for the Irish this season … honored as a 2012 CRCA Scholar Athlete … earned the title of BIG EAST Crew of the Week (April 19, April 25) twice with the varsity four boat … earned third monogram … rowed with the third varsity eight boat at Ohio State (7:24.46) in first taste of race action on the season … came back the next day with a time of 7:02.88 to claim victory over Purdue in the third varsity eight … helped the first varsity four boat claim two victories at the Virginia Invite, including a Sunday session victory over Penn and San Diego with a time of 7:34.10 … also defeated Clemson (7:31.30) and finished second against Virginia (7:34.30) … beat both Southern California (7:17.84) and Stanford (7:42.90) out west at the Stanford Women’s Invite … went two for two at the BIG EAST Invite, claiming victory in the qualifier (7:37.30) and in the first varsity four grand final over Syracuse, Louisville, and Iowa (7:44.90) … rowed for the first varsity eight boat at the BIG EAST Championship, winning the eight-team qualifier (6:22.016) before taking first in the grand final over Syracuse, Louisville and Georgetown after posting a time of 6:31.724 in the win … rowed for the varsity four boat at the NCAA Championships … helped the boat finish fourth in the preliminaries, beating USC and Brown with a time of 7:32.14 … barely missed taking first in the varsity four repechage heats, but qualifying for the semifinals with a time of 7:51.50 … placed fifth in the semifinals, while qualifying for the petite finals (7:21.20) … rowed to a second place finish behind UCLA in the petite finals (7:25.35) to secure eighth place overall in the 16-boat NCAA field.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete … rowed for a variety of boats during the spring season for the Irish … competed in the third varsity eight – lightweight race against Buffalo … rowed across the finish line in first place ahead of Buffalo at 6:28.9 … notched second victory of the spring with a first place finish in Indianapolis against Indiana, Purdue, Eastern Michigan, and a second Notre Dame boat while posting a time of 7:56.0 … crossed the line in second at the Lake Natoma Invitational finals with the second varsity eight behind only Wisconsin, stopping the clock at 6:45.2 … qualified for the finals by placing second in both preliminary heats … placed first at the BIG EAST Championship in second varsity eight with a time of 6:49.1 … qualified for the finals by winning the preliminary heat after crossing the finish line at 7:06.62 … placed third (6:44.92) in the Oak Ridge Regional Final behind Virginia and Clemson … qualified for the finals by winning the preliminary heat, stopping the clock at 6:55.13 … landed a fourth-place finish in the varsity four race on the Notre Dame “A” boat (17:43.69) and a ninth-place finish in the varsity eight race on the Notre Dame “B” boat (1:39.58) in the Head of the Rock Regatta … guided the Notre Dame “3” boat to a fifth-place finish in the varsity eight race stopping the clock at 14:49.8.

AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed with the varsity four boat for majority of spring season … opened up the slate with a pair of heat victories against Buffalo and Duke, winning the first heat in a time of 5:59.3 and the second in 5:58.9 … earned a victory over Michigan and Michigan State a couple weeks later, pacing the heat with a time of 7:35.1 … the following day, knocked off Buffalo, Indiana, Purdue and Eastern Michigan with a mark of 8:06.7 … moved to the second varsity eight boat against USC and UCLA, recording a pair of second-place finishes … in the morning, stopped the clock at 7:11.83 to finish runner-up to the Trojans … came in behind the Bruins in the afternoon session, completing the course in 7:53.21 … returned to varsity four boat at BIG EAST Championship, capturing the prelim race win in 7:56.782 before winning the grand final in a time of 8:08.885 … at the Central/South Sprints, earned a lane in the petite finals after placing third in the prelim heat (7:40.01) and fifth in the semifinal heat (7:37.07) … crossed in third place in the petite final, posting a time of 7:35.33 … opened the fall campaign racing in both the collegiate eight and novice eight races at the Head of the Rock Regatta … sat with the 11th-place finishing collegiate eight boat that posted a time of 16:33.53 … later would help her crew capture the novice eight race victory by posting a time of 16:15.34 to secure the win over Wisconsin … raced at Notre Dame’s home meet with the Notre Dame “B” boat in flight two of varsity four competition against Indiana, Iowa and Purdue … her team was able to secure the heat victory with a time of 14:39.20 to cross ahead of the Spartans … named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Rowed for the Chattanooga Junior Rowing team while attending Notre Dame High School … helped the team garner national ranking, while also capturing the state title, in both her junior and senior years … team went on to earn two top-ten finishes at the US Rowing Youth National Championships, finishing in eighth place on both occasions … member of the National Honor Society … born in Chattanooga, Tenn. … daughter of John and Mary Anne Poinsatte … has two siblings, Justin and Rachael … grandfather, Charles, along with father attended Notre Dame … siblings Justin and Rachael are current Notre Dame students as well … graduated from the College of Arts and Letters with a degree in psychology.
