AS A SOPHOMORE: First-year member of the Irish rowing program and was the coxswain for the novice eight boat for a majority of the season … started the spring season as coxswain for the novice eight ‘B’ boat … coxed both the novice eight and the novice four boats at the Lubbers Cup finishing second and first, respectively … led the first novice eight boat to first and second-place finishes against Michigan State and Indiana … coxswain for the novice eight boat that placed first with a time of 6:48.3 at the Indiana Invite … competed at the Charles River Challenge where she coxed the novice eight to a win over Boston University … won the gold medal with the novice eight boat at the BIG EAST Championship as her crew posted a winning time of 7:05.50 as Notre Dame swept all six races and won the novice eight race for the first time ever at the championship… led novice eight boat to an appearance in the Grand Final at the Central/South Region Championships as her boat took sixth with a time of 7:14.20.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Participated in gymnastics and soccer in high school…was ranked fifth and sixth her freshman and sophomore years, respectively, nationally in gymnastics…won five gold, sox silver, and eighh bronze medals in national and international competitions …lettered all four years of high school for her soccer team … her team was the regional champion in her senior seasons … her soccer team also was the tournament champion in an international tournament in Brazil … was the president of National Honor Society … started the Operation Smile organization in her school….born in Asunción, Paraguay on July 9, 1988 … daughter of Pablo and Laura Di Iono … has one brother, Nicolas … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.
