  • Honorable mention choice for the 2013 Indianapolis Star Sportswoman of the Year award.Â
  • Tabbed as a four-year Scholar Athlete recipient.
  • Was an all-conference selection in swimming, and was tabbed to the all-sectional team in cross country as a senior.
  • Earned academic all-state recognition in all three sports, and was a 2013 Academic All-American in swimming.
  • Was a sectional champion as a member of the 4×800 meter relay team during senior track season.

PERSONAL:

  • Fourth member of family to attend Notre Dame.
  • Daughter of Jon and Sarah Sampson.
  • Has four brothers, Alexander, Jack, Cooper and Logan.
  • Gas five sisters, Cally, Cassidy, Carson, Caroline and Addison.
  • Father, Jon (’91), played water polo at Notre Dame.
  • Mother, Sarah (Esterline) (’92), was a midfielder for the Irish women’s soccer team in 1989.
  • Great-uncle, Mark Mahaffey (’66), is also a Notre Dame graduate.
  • Attended the same high school as Irish former teammate Erin Coscia.
  • Enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business, majoring in information technology management.
