AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed in multiple novice boats for the Irish … started out in the first novice eight B-team boat that finished third at Michigan State before moving to the second novice eight boat for the afternoon session … came in second to host Michigan State with a time of 8:08.50 … stayed with the second novice eight boat at the Ohio State Invitational … beat the host Buckeye crew in first race with a time of 7:57.70, before falling to third in the second race with a mark of 8:07.01 … appeared in the first novice eight B-team boat for two races at the Dale England Cup … came in third both times … in Friday afternoon race, posted a 7:34.4 finish before crossing the finish line in 7:47.2 Saturday morning.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Graduated from Magnificat High School … ran cross country for four years, track and field for one … lettered in cross country her senior year … cross country team placed first at the state meet three of the four years … her senior season, the team finished in sixth place at the state meet after entering it ranked 13th … as a sophomore, team set a new record at the state meet by earning 28 points … is heavily involved in her parish youth group at home … is a member of Notre Dame Christian Athletes and is a Eucharistic minister at the Basilica and dorm masses on campus … was a member of the National Honor Society as a junior and senior and a national merit finalist her senior year … was student body president … won the school[apos]s Director[apos]s Award for a comedic performance in the spring play … won the Sr. Mary Pat Cook HM Leadership Award and the Mother Anna Tabourat Award for leadership in campus ministry …participated in the student sustainability team and choir … attended the same high school as Irish cross country and track star Katherine Stultz … is the daughter of Andy and Maura McLinden … has one older brother, Jack, who plays baseball at Bucknell University … Jack attended the same high school as Irish baseball player Frank DeSico and football player Dan Fox … together the brother-sister duo are the seventh and eighth members of their family to participate in college sports … great-grandfather Harold A. ‘Cap’ Boerner played semi-pro football with Knute Rockne and traded shoes with him because Rockne[apos]s did not fit properly … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters.
