AS A SENIOR: Rowed for multiple Irish boats throughout the season… earned third monogram … started the season with a trio of races for the first varsity four boat at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, capped by a win over Alabama and Jacksonville (7:33.40) in the first race of the day … in other two races of the day, finished second to Minnesota in 7:27.48 before finishing behind Tennessee in the final race of the event in 7:22.33 … remained with the varsity four in a heads up race against Ohio State, finishing second with a time of 7:49.13 … the following day, helped the crew to the win over Indiana and Louisville in 7:35.22 … made the move into the third varsity eight at the Virginia Invite, earning a win over Clemson and Northeastern in the morning session in a time of 7:04.00 … after the team finished second against Virginia with a mark of 6:58.80, returned to the top of the podium against San Diego and Penn with a winning time of 7:04.80 … led the third varsity eight boat to a 7:14.00 time and first in the BIG EAST Invite qualifier before switching to the third varsity four prior to the finals and claiming a victory in 8:02.30 … helped third varsity eight boat qualify for grand finals at the BIG EAST Championship, winning with a time of 6:55.967 in prelims … in the grand final, raced to victory in 7:04.391 to claim the gold over Syracuse, Connecticut and Louisville.

AS A JUNIOR: Named BIG EAST Crew of the Week with varsity four boat April 21 … rowed with the varsity four boat during the spring season … finished in second place behind Buffalo in the first race of the spring, clocking in at 7:02.04 … notched first victory of the spring with a first place finish in Indianapolis against Indiana, Purdue, Eastern Michigan, and a second Notre Dame boat while posting a time of 7:56.0 … qualified for the Lake Natoma Invitational Group “B” final by finishing second (7:17.37) and first (7:27.0) in two preliminary heats against California and Oregon State, and Stanford and Sacramento State, respectively … placed second in the Finale behind Wisconsin with a finishing time of 7:23.13 … won the BIG EAST Championship in the varsity four with a time of 7:31.36 … got her ticket punched to the finals by placing first in the preliminary round with a time of 7:50.91 … placed second behind Virginia in the Oak Ridge Regional Finale with a finishing time of 7:22.52 … sat in the Notre Dame varsity four “B” boat that took ninth place, crossing the line at 18:06.36 in the Head of the Rock Regatta … member of the varsity eight Notre Dame “C” boat that posted a time of 17:17.78 in the same regatta … came in sixth place as part of the Notre Dame “4” boat in the varsity eight race vs. Tulsa (15:11.3).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Rowed with the second varsity four boat during the spring season … secured a pair of race victories in two heats against Buffalo to kick off the schedule … won the first heat in a time of 6:25.2 before snagging heat two with a time of 6:10.0 … returned to the water two weeks later against Michigan State, finishing second with a time of 8:02.5 … the follow- ing day, earned a second-place finish against Buffalo, Purdue and Indiana, crossing the finish line at 8:41.5 … captured grand final gold for the Irish at the BIG EAST Championships, pacing the field with a time of 8:24.238 … rowed with the open four “A” boat at the Central/South Sprints … the boat received a spot in the C final after placing fourth in the prelim heat (7:56.74) and then
first in the semifinal race (7:55.50) … in the C final, the crew went on to finish in first with a mark of 7:42.50 … at the Head of the Rock Regatta, began with a ninth-place finish in the collegiate eight race with a 16:08.61 mark … also raced in the collegiate four race, adding a sixth-place finish in a time of 17:24.06 … in the varsity four race against Indiana and Iowa, picked up a tenth-place finish with a time of 15:34.7 … the varsity eight flight 1 race ended with a third-place finish for the Notre Dame “B” boat as they crossed the line in 13:20.8 … named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed with the second novice eight crew for the spring season … helped her boat capture second place against Michigan State as the boat finished the race in 8:46.90 … the next day the boat went on to capture a second-place finish against Indiana and Purdue as they stopped the clock at 6:35.90 … sat with the second novice eight crew as they earned a two-race sweep at the four-team regatta at Ohio State … the boat was victorious in the morning session over Ohio State with a winning time of 7:11.12 … in the afternoon session the boat was able to earn the victory over Minnesota on their way to shaving over seven seconds off of the morning time and finishing in 7:04.00 … helped novice eight boat capture the best qualifying time at the BIG EAST Championships with a time of 7:24..704 and later helped the boat grab the silver, stopping the clock at 7:08.309 in the grand final … at the South/Central Sprints, rowed as a member of the open varsity four boat, helping it claim a spot in the C Final by completing the prelim heat in fifth (7:29.81) and then placing second in the semifinal heat (7:12.20) … helped her boat claim fourth place in the C Final with a final time of 7:18.13 … competed in the varsity eight race at the Head of the Rock as a member of the Notre Dame “F” boat, completing the course in 22:09.30 … competed again at the Head of the Rock in the novice eight boat race with the Notre Dame “C” boat … the crew stopped the clock with a time of 22:25.60 showing, good for 14th place … raced in the novice eight race at the Southland Regatta in the Notre Dame “A” boat … the team finished in 16th place, finishing the course in 20:46.16.

PREP AND PERSONAL: A three-sport athlete, competing in track, cross country and basketball … earned a total of nine letters for her efforts in those sports … was named track team captain in junior and senior sea- sons, helping guide Parkway Central High to a conference and regional crown in `08 … was also selected to the all-conference team in track junior and senior year … was a member of the National Honor Society, along with serving as the student body officer for Student Council … born in Tao-Yuan, Taiwan … daughter of Der-Chyan Hwang and Melody Shue … has one sibling, Jonathan … graduated from the College of Science with a degree in biological sciences.
