JUNIOR SEASON (2017):

  • Went 5-0 after emerging as top midweek starter, posting a 2.88 ERA
  • Struck out 31 batters in 20.2 innings while opponents hit just .206
  • Made 13 relief appearances before earning first start of year against Central Michigan at Detroit’s Comerica Park
  • Earned the victory in the Clash at Comerica, allowing just two hits and an unearned run in 5.2 innings
  • Went at least six innings with two or fewer runs allowed while collecting wins in final three starts of the year against Eastern Michigan, Northwestern and Valpo

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016):

  • Struck out nine while issuing just two walks in 13.1 innings
  • Recorded four strikeouts in two innings during season debut against Texas Southern
  • Threw a scoreless inning in first career ACC outing at Virginia Tech
  • Threw a pair of scoreless innings against No. 11 LSU

FRESHMAN SEASON (2015):

  • Made collegiate debut against Valparaiso, throwing a scoreless inning as part of a shutout by the Irish pitching staff
  • Threw 2.2 innings in relief on the year

HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Earned four varsity letters in baseball at Mater Dei
  • Rated the 26th righthanded pitcher and 80th prospect overall in California by Perfect Game, as well as the 195th righthander in the nation
  • Threw 69.2 innings as a senior with a 1.57 ERA and 61 strikeouts
  • Named all-league and selected to North-South County All-Star game thanks to five complete games
  • Named honorable mention Underclass All-America by Perfect Game entering junior season
  • Went 5-1 as a junior with a 2.20 ERA, striking out 21 in 28.1 innings while leading team to league and NHSI championships as Mater Dei finished 25-3 and ranked 13th nationally
  • Recorded a complete game victory against the nation’s number one high school team, The Woodlands (Texas)
  • Posted 5-1 record as a sophomore on the varsity team
  • Served as junior varsity team captain as a freshman, winning league pitcher of the year while helping team to JV league title
  • Helped Mater Dei to to championships to the first two National High School Invitational Tournaments at the USA Baseball complex
  • Played for the ASD Bulldogs, while also seeing action with scout teams for the Yankees, Athletics and Marlins

  • Father, John, played baseball at Ohio State (1967-69) and was on the last Buckeye squad to advance to the College World Series
