- As a senior, won the Texas state championship in the 800, 1600 and 3,200 meters
- Qualified for Team USA at the U20 World Cross Country Championships in Denmark
- Won his high school’s Latin and English Academic Award
- Dad Ken was a distance runner at Virginia and mom Cathy was a distance runner at Tennessee-Chattanooga
- Has three sisters, Allison, Claire and Abby Faith
- Enrolled in the First Year of Studies program with plans to major in English
