AS A SENIOR: Sat out the cross country season until the Pre-National meet to recover from an off-season injury … earned all-BIG EAST honors at the conference meet after posting a 14th-place finish in one of her best career efforts … her effort at the conference championships helped catapult the Irish team to a third-place finish … during the track and field season she posted the top time for the women[apos]s team in the indoor 3,000-meters (9:32.67) at the BIG EAST Championship … her performance was a third-place finish, earning her all-BIG EAST accolades for the second-time indoors … outdoors, she had a season-best time of 16:51.26 in the 5,000 meters at Stanford Invitational, second best on the Irish squad.

AS A JUNIOR: Focused entirely on track and field season and was rewarded with her strongest year to date … opened indoor season with runner-up finish in 3,000 meters (10:07.04) at Blue & Gold Invitational, with her time good enough for BIG EAST Championship qualification … tried her hand at the mile run for the first time in her career at the Notre Dame Opener, placing fourth in 4:58.10 and recording her second BIG EAST qualifying mark … came back with another second-place outing, this time in the mile at the Notre Dame Invitational (4:58.47) … trimmed more than five seconds from her personal best in the 3,000 meters with a 9:44.22 mark and 12th-place performance in the high-powered Meyo Invitational … elected to run the 3,000 meters at the BIG EAST Championship and just missed all-conference honors with a fourth-place finish in a career-best 9:41.09; she was one of six runners in the field (and second Irish runner along with Stephanie Madia) to break the prior Akron Athletics Field House record … did obtain her first career all-BIG EAST citation as the anchor on the Irish distance medley relay squad (joined by Ramsey Kavan, Nicole Yergler and Jacqueline Carter) that finished third in 11:37.41, the eighth-fastest time in school history … continued late-season surge by obliterating her old personal best in the 3,000 meters at the Alex Wilson Invitational, with her sixth-place time of 9:32.26 also surpassing the NCAA Championship provisional qualifying standard (although she ended up not advancing to the NCAA meet) … ran during outdoor track season for first time in career … took 15th place in top section of the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational, covering the distance in 16:19.06 to qualify for the NCAA Mideast Regional and BIG EAST Championship … lowered her 5,000-meter time by almost two seconds at the Mount SAC Relays, placing 14th in 16:17.16 … finished fourth in 1,500-meter run at Hillsdale Gina Relays, qualifying for the BIG EAST Championship in her second event with a time of 4:29.55 … chose to run the 5,000 meters at the BIG EAST outdoor meet and earned all-conference status with a third-place showing (16:41.69), teaming with Molly Huddle for a 1-3 Notre Dame finish … was not able to compete in NCAA Mideast Regional due to injury.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Did not compete during the cross country season … established a series of career bests in the 3,000 meters during the 2005 indoor track season … won the Notre Dame Opener in 10:08.37 … took 23rd in the 3,000 meters at the Meyo Invitational, coming through the line at 9:54.58 … scored BIG EAST team points at the indoor league meet by clocking 10:01.66 for seventh in the 3,000 meters … established a career best at the Alex Wilson Invitational by finishing 14th in the 3,000 meters in 9:49.91 … did not compete in the outdoor track season.AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in just one meet during her rookie cross country season, finishing 120th at the Notre Dame Invitational (19:37) … did not compete during the 2004 track season.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: One of the top cross country and track athletes in southwestern Ontario … attended the World Youth Championships in Hungary in 2001 and placed eighth in final of 1,500 meters … bronze medalist in [apos]02 as a member of the Ontario Track and Field Association (OFTA) club team in the Junior Girls cross country race … captured silver medal at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) championship while helping team to bronze medal in that event … Senior Girls champion at the Lambton Secondary Schools Athletic Association (LSSAA) and Southwestern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (SWOSSAA) meets as she guided squad to team title … double winner at the [apos]02 West Regional championships as she took first-place in both the 1,500- and 3,000-meter events … won the LSSAA 800 meters in [apos]03 and was the Senior Girls SWOSSAA champion in the 800- and 1,500-meter events … LSSAA and SWOSSAA record holder in both the 1,500- and 3,000- meters while winning back-to-back titles in both races in both [apos]02 and [apos]03 … represented Canada at the [apos]01 World Cross Country Championships in Dublin, Ireland … led club team to Canadian Cross Country Championship that same year and also finished first in the race … [apos]01 OFTA girls cross country champion after completing sweep of LSSAA, SWOSSAA and OFSAA that same year … double gold medalist in the 1,500- and 3,000-meter races at OFSAA Championship … captured the silver medal in the 5,000 meters and bronze medal in the 1,500 meters at the [apos]01 Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario … recipient of [apos]02 Queen[apos]s Jubilee Medal for outstanding contributions to the community … three-time winner of St. Patrick[apos]s Athlete of the Year award … born May 7, 1984 in Sarnia, Ontario … oldest of three children … sister, Alyson, is a junior on the cross country and track teams at Michigan … mother, Denise, was a track and field standout at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario … enrolled in College of Science as a Science/Pre-Professional major (3.576 cumulative grade-point average through spring 2006).
