FRESHMAN SEASON (2020-21)

  • Played in 7 games, averaging 6.2 minutes off the bench.
  • Saw 2 minutes of action vs. Clemson in the ACC Tournament on March 4.
  • Checked in at the final six seconds of the first half vs. Florida State for her defense and shut down the Seminoles’ buzzer-beating shot with a block. It marked her first collegiate block.
  • Made her first appearance in nine games (since Dec. 20) in the matchup at Pitt on Feb. 22. Amirah tallied 2 points and 3 rebounds
  • Made her Irish debut vs Miami OH (11/29) and gave Coach Ivey so much needed depth and height off the bench. Abdur-Rahim tallied 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. All 4 of her boards came in the 1st quarter.
  • Transferred to SMU after the season concluded.

PREP

  • 2020 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) All-State Team selection – Class A North honoree
  • 2020 AJC Class A Private All-State Honorable Mention
  • Named a 2020 Atlanta All-Metro First Team selection in the North Fulton district
  • Averaged 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks as a senior. Abdur-Rahim shot an impressive 60.1 percent on the year
  • Led team to the Class A Private State finals, where they finished runner-up
  • Averaged 12.8 points as a junior on 67 percent shooting in an injury shortened season
  • Before the injury, Abdur-Rahim was listed in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the 2020 class
  • Supplied 9.5 ppg on 55 percent shooting, plus 3.9 rebounds/game, in 26 games as a sophomore
  • She helped lead the Knights to a 26-5 record, reaching the semifinals of the 2018 GHSA State Tournament
  • Competed on the track team as well, where she ran the 200, 400 and 800 meter relays. Also competed in the high jump and triple jump.

  • She is the 11th of 13 children. Her brother Shareef took his game all the way to the NBA level
