Risedorph Awarded 2017 Merchandiser of the Year

March 20, 2017

Cody Risedorph was awarded the 2017 Merchandiser of Year, public, from the Indiana PGA Special Awards Committee. Risedorph is the Associate Golf Professional and Retail Buyer for Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame, where he has been a staff member since 2009.

Established in 1988, the Merchandiser of the Year award recognizes those PGA professionals who have demonstrated superior skills as merchandisers in the promotion of golf. It is given for excellence in golf shop operations in three categories: Private, Resort and Public. Risedorph was selected in the public category based off of his success in the following areas: merchandising ability and techniques, inventory levels and turn rate, shop display and attention to detail.

Risedorph is no stranger to national awards. In 2006, 2007 and 2009 he was recognized with the PGA President’s Council on Growing the Game, an award that identifies PGA Professionals who are committed to encouraging new, former and occasional adult golfers to play more golf through various player development programs and lessons.

A class “A” Member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America, Risedorph graduated from Ferris State University’s Professional Golf Management Program with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
