Reinvention: Notre Dame Men's Basketball Blueprint For Success

Notre Dame men’s basketball fans will get a unique inside look into the Fighting Irish basketball program when a 30-minute documentary — “Reinvention: Notre Dame Men’s Basketball Blueprint for Success” –debuts nationally on NBC Sports Network Monday at 2 a.m. (ET).

The documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look into the final stretch of Notre Dame’s BIG EAST regular season, its run through the BIG EAST Championship and into NCAA Selection Sunday. The show, produced by 3 Penny Films for Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish Digital Media, begins with the news of Scott Martin’s season-ending injury and showcases the journey through the final two months of the 2012-13 campaign, including the scintillating five-overtime marathon win over Louisville at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on Feb. 9. The journey concludes with Notre Dame’s selection for an at-large berth into the 68-team NCAA Championship field after advancing to the BIG EAST Championship semifinals for the fourth consecutive year.

Irish fans will have the opportunity to get an exclusive look into the program from footage taken from coaches’ meetings, practices and the behind-the-scenes preparations. Pre-game, halftime and postgame speeches inside the locker room by head coach Mike Brey show his personal coaching philosophy. Brey and the several of the players offer their perspective throughout the show on the season and the Irish program.

The NBC Sports Network is available in more than 78 million homes across the country and is available on Comcast channel 68 and 174 (HD), DirecTV channel 220 and Dish Network Channel 159. Check your local cable listings for the NBC Sports Network in your area.

In addition to Monday’s debut, the show also will air on the NBC Sports Network March 30 at 2:30 p.m. (ET), April 2 at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and April 3 at 2:30 a.m. (ET).
