COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Notre Dame women’s swimmer Emma Reaney earned another win, another school record and another NCAA A cut Sunday at the Ohio State Invitational, as the sophomore won the 200 breast in 2:07.60.

The new mark broke Samantha Maxwell’s 2009 standard of 2:09.62 and gave Reaney school records in four individual events this weekend. Earlier in the meet Reaney broke Irish marks in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 100 breast.

The A cut was the third of the weekend for the standout from Lawrence, Kan., as she had previously recorded impressive times in the 200 IM and the 100 breast. Reaney won all three events.

Elsewhere on day three junior Kelly Ryan finished fifth in both the 200 back and 100 free.

Notre Dame took fifth at the elite meet, knocking off ranked foes Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue and Texas. The Irish racked up 440 points during the three days.

The Irish have now concluded their fall competitions and return to action at Rolfs Aquatic Center Jan. 11 and 12 when they play host to Michigan and Northwestern in a tri-meet.
