FIGHTING IRISH ‘FOR-CREDIT’ INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
If your degree requires or allows you to seek out internships for credit in the world of collegiate athletics, we encourage you to fill out the application below as well and express interest in our program. These opportunities are strictly for academic credit and the experience must be contributing to the degree you are pursuing (undergraduate or graduate). These are not paid positions. Applicants are responsible for finding and paying for their own housing (we can provide some suggestions) and other needs for the full duration of their internship. Please note due to our extensive Full-Time Internship Program outlined above our opportunities to fulfill these requests are limited each semester. Areas of our department we have previously had interns for credit before include but are not limited to – Fighting Irish Media, Event Management, Sport Camps/Community Commitment, and Sports Performance.
Once you complete this application we will be in touch should an opportunity arise to help you fulfill these requirements. If selected for an internship for credit, your supervisor will work with you on your requirements and ensure you are on track to reach the goals set for this experience. An added bonus for completing an internship for-credit with us is that you are fully immersed in a high-profile Division I athletics department. You are also included in the professional development programming that the year-long Fighting Irish Interns are exposed to.
Please note we have a high volume of tremendously qualified individuals applying and there may not be availability in your area of interest.
