Treasa O’Tighearnaigh, a 2018 University of Notre Dame graduate and Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year, was named to the Pocock Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America team on Monday, July 16, 2018.
O’Tighearnaigh was a stand out on Notre Dame’s Varsity Eight, which was ranked nationally in 2018, earned ACC Crew of the Week honors on April 24, 2018, and finished fifth in the highly-competitive ACC Championship regatta.
The Notre Dame rowing program boasts 16 All-America honors since the 2002 season, earned by seven different rowers. The honorable mention accolade for O’Tighearnaigh adds to her impressive list of accomplishments at Notre Dame, which include a biological science and economics degree earned in May of 2018 with a 3.94 grade-point average.
