NOTRE DAME WRAPS UP HOME-AND-HOME WITH MICHIGAN

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — After a five-set victory over Michigan on Wednesday, September 18th, the Irish head to Ann Arbor for a rematch with the Wolverines on Sunday, September 22nd. First serve is set for 3 p.m. ET from the Crisler Center, and the match will be televised live on ESPNU.

LAST TIME OUT
Notre Dame overcame a 2-1 deficit to knock off Michigan in five sets on Wednesday night in Purcell Pavilion. Charley Niego (17 kills, 12 digs), Caroline Meuth (12 kills, 16 digs) and Zoe Nunez (50 assists, 15 digs) reach recorded double-doubles in the victory for Notre Dame. As a team, the Irish out-blocked the Wolverines, 14-5.

SERIES HISTORY VS. MICHIGAN
The Irish and Wolverines will be meeting for the 17th time on Sunday with the Irish holding a 9-7 advantage in the all-time series. The Irish won five consecutive matches vs. Michigan from September 10, 1987-September 20, 1996.

B1G VICTORIES
With Wednesday’s win, the Irish moved to 2-0 this season against Big Ten opponents. Notre Dame overcame another 2-1 deficit to knock off #18 Purdue in five sets back on September 6th.

This marks the second time in three seasons that the Irish have earned two consecutive victories over Big Ten opponents. Notre Dame knocked off #24 Ohio State, 3-1, on September 10th, 2017 before sweeping #23 Michigan State five days later.

A win in Ann Arbor would mark the first time in the 25-point era that the Irish have won three straight matches against Big Ten opponents.
