SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) – Five players scored in double figures for Notre Dame as the Irish won their sixth straight game, 85-49 over Fordham Wednesday night.

Chris Quinn led Notre Dame (8-2) with 14 points, while Luke Zeller scored 11 and Rob Kurz, Kyle McAlarney and Russell Carter had 10 each.

A seven-minute dry spell early in the second half doomed the Rams (3-8), who were led in scoring by Jermaine Anderson’s 14 points and Bryant Dunston’s 10. Fordham shot 28 percent for the game while the Irish shot 55 percent.

A 3-pointer by Anderson had brought Fordham to within eight, 42-34, two minutes into the second half before the scoring drought. The Irish went on a 13-0 run, featuring by two straight 3-pointers by Quinn and the Irish coasted from there, establishing a 74-41 edge on a Rick Cornett basket with 4:15 remaining.

Notre Dame broke out to a 28-20 lead midway through the first half on the strength of Francis’ inside presence and a 4-of-5 3-point shooting by Quinn and Zeller.
