George Atkinson

  • Broke away for an 80-yard touchdown run on the first Notre Dame possession of the second half. It was the longest run from scrimmage for the Irish since October 21, 2000 when Terrance Howard also had a rush of 80 yards at West Virginia. It was also Atkinson’s longest career rush, besting his previous long of 56 yards (which came against Navy in 2011). The rush is tied for the 15th longest in Notre Dame history.
  • Set a career high for rushing yards in a game with 148 yards. His previous high was 123 yards against Miami last season.

T.J. Jones

  • Hauled in a touchdown pass from Tommy Rees in the first quarter for this 13th career touchdown, which places him in sole possession of 10th place on the Notre Dame all-time career touchdown receptions list. It was his second consecutive game with a touchdown.

Troy Niklas

  • With his 30-yard touchdown reception, Niklas recorded his third touchdown of the season. Of his 16 career receptions, four are for touchdowns.

Tarean Folston

  • Rushed for a career long of 36 yards on the first Irish scoring drive in the first quarter. It was his 10th carry of the year.
