  • Notre Dame improves to 75-12-1 all-time against Navy and has won four in a row in the nation’s oldest continuous intersectional rivalry.
  • This is the fourth time this year that Notre Dame has eclipsed 500 yards of total offense (Rice-576, Syracuse-523 and North Carolina-516).
  • Notre Dame has scored at least 40 points against Navy three times in the last four years, a first since 1993-96.
  • Notre Dame has now intercepted a pass in 11 straight games.
  • Navy attempted 16 passes tonight. Navy completed six while Notre Dame defended five (four break ups and one interception) and added two sacks.
  • At 88 combined points, it is the highest-scoring regulation game in the 88-game series history between Notre Dame and Navy. The teams did combine to score 90 points in a triple overtime game in 2007.
  • Notre Dame’s punt on its opening drive of the second half was its first punt against Navy since 2012. The Irish have not punted at all in five of the last 10 meetings with the Mids. Notre Dame has punted just eight times in the last 10 games against Navy.
  • The touchdown by C.J. Prosise at 14:02 of the first quarter marked Notre Dame’s earliest score since Oct. 1, 2011, when Michael Floyd caught a 35-yard TD pass from Tommy Rees at the 14:36 mark to spur the Irish to a 38-10 win at Purdue.
  • Navy became the first team to block a Notre Dame kick this year.

  • Everett Golson became the first player in Notre Dame history to both rush and throw for three touchdowns in the same game.
  • Golson’s three rushing TDs ties the Notre Dame record for a quarterback. Paul Hornung set it against North Carolina in 1956.
  • was matched by Jarious Jackson against Stanford in 1998 and Golson against Rice on Aug. 30.
  • Golson tied Jarious Jackson (1996-99) for sixth in school history with 34 career TD passes.
  • Tonight is Golson’s sixth career game with at least three TD passes and his fifth this year.
  • Golson is responsible for 156 points this year. That sum already ranks sixth in ND history for a single season. His 19.5 points responsibility per game to date eclipses Brady Quinn’s school record of 18.0 set in 2006.
  • Golson went over 300 yards passing for the fourth time in the past five games. He had previously only done it twice in his career.
  • Golson has thrown for at least two TD passes in every game this year and 11 times in his Irish career.
  • Tarean Folston became the first Notre Dame player to rush for 120 yards in consecutive games since Darius Walker against Air Force (153 yards) and Army (162) on Nov. 11 and Nov. 18, 2006. Folston ran for 120 at No. 2 Florida State on Oct. 18.
  • Folston’s career-high 149 rushing yards tonight are the most by any Irish player since Cierre Wood scampered for 150 at Wake Forest on Nov. 17, 2012. It is the most by a Notre Dame player against Navy since 2003 when Julius Jones ran for 221.
  • Folston has now run for 289 yards in his two career games against Navy.
  • Will Fuller caught his ninth TD pass of the season during the second quarter and the 10th of his Irish career.
  • Chris Brown’s 46-yard reception in the fourth quarter is a season-long, doubling his 23-yard catch against Syracuse (Sept. 27).
  • Justin Utupo made his first career interception tonight in his 43rd career game played. He is the eighth different Notre Dame player to intercept a pass this year.
  • Kyle Brindza successfully converted each of his seven point-after attempts tonight, running his streak to 84 straight makes – third-longest in school history.
  • Brindza’s seven PATs tonight are a career-high.
