Notre Dame Travels To Play Syracuse

April 18, 2014

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team will finish out its regular season this weekend with one final match. The Irish travel to play Syracuse this Saturday at 1 p.m.

“We are expecting a tough, hard fought match,” says head coach Jay Louderback. “Their indoor courts are very fast and they do a great job of serving big and getting to the net. We are going to have to be ready for a quick-paced match.”

Syracuse is 4-13 on the season and 3-2 at home. They will play Wake Forest later today before playing the Irish tomorrow. Notre Dame is 6-0 in the all-time series against the Orange.

The Irish are looking to end their regular season on a winning streak-they are currently 6-0 in their last six matches, five of which have been sweeps. Next up for Notre Dame will be the ACC Championship in Cary, N.C., next weekend.
