NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame’s Castellan Family Fencing Center will serve as the host site for this season’s Northwestern Duals, which will be held January 30-31, 2016 while Northwestern’s Henry Crown Sports Pavilion undergoes renovations.

The Northwestern Duals, which will be run by Northwestern staff with the assistance of Notre Dame fencing and events staff, will feature 17 teams, including Notre Dame. In addition to the Irish and Wildcats, North Carolina, Duke, Temple (W), Princeton, Stanford, Air Force, Cal Tech, San Diego, Fairleigh Dickinson (W), Lawrence, Penn, Ohio State, Wayne State, Cleveland State and Detroit will also compete.

“We are honored to be of help to our great friends at Northwestern during their facility construction, and we look forward to working with them to run a great tournament,” said Irish head coach Gia Kvaratskhelia. “I’m also excited to bring an event of this caliber here for the Notre Dame community, and to provide our entire roster with the opportunity for some great fencing.”
