Notre Dame To Face Michigan State In Non-Conference Dual Meet

Jan. 20, 2011

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s swimming and diving team will travel to Michigan State for a 5:00 p.m. (ET) dual meet Friday at McCaffree Pool. The Irish head into the meet fresh off road wins last week over Northwestern and Cleveland State.

Notre Dame (5-2) has won each of its last three dual meets, as the win against Northwestern was the first for the Irish in over 20 years. Frank Dyer, who on Wednesday was named the BIG EAST Conference Swimmer of the Week, had three wins in the dual meet versus the Wildcats and was part of two victorious relays at Cleveland State.

In their last meeting with Michigan State the Irish fell at home to the Spartans, 179-121. The Spartans own a 5-3 edge in the series history between the two programs.
