Sporting News “Saturday Shrines” feature in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame and its fabled home, Notre Dame Stadium, is rated as the second-best place to watch college football, according to a list in the current issue of Sporting News. The “Saturday Shrines” rankings of the best places to watch college football were voted on by a panel of 70 former coaches, current coaches and broadcasters and are based on each school’s stadium, fans, city/surroundings, traditions and history.

The complete top five was as follows: 1. Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama; 2. Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame; 3. Beaver Stadium, Penn State; 4. Tiger Stadium, LSU; 5. Ohio Stadium, Ohio State.

The new Sporting News magazine, featuring Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews of the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks, and Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls on the cover, is on newsstands and can be purchased at all Barnes & Noble, Borders and Hudson Retail outlets.
