It is Thursday of Southern Cal game week for the University of Notre Dame football team. It also is Oct. 15, 2009 – and that date strikes up a few memories for Fighting Irish football fans. Twenty-one years ago today the Irish defeated #1 Miami 31-30 – a key triumph in the last National Championship season at Notre Dame.
Perhaps it is fitting that the key matchup of the 2009 season is just two days later on the calendar. Notre Dame and Southern Cal renew their rivalry this weekend in ‘The House that Rockne Built’ – and und.com is here to provide all the information you need for the game this weekend.
Note: The und.com video crew had three things going on at once this evening – basketball media day, Coach Weis and preparations for the hockey game.
