The 2007 National Soccer Coaching Seminar will be held March 9th and 10th this year on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. This year’s guest clinician is Len Taylor, the Head of Youth and Community Development for Scottish Premier League’s Aberdeen Football Club.
As always, Notre Dame head coaches Bobby Clark and Randy Waldrum will round out this year’s clinicians.
Clark just finished his sixth year at Notre Dame by taking the men’s team all the way to the Elite Eight of this year’s NCAA Tournament. (A program Best) He is a two time Big East Coach of the Year and holds a Scottish FA “A” License. Not only has Clark coached at a high level, but he has also enjoyed a distinguished professional career in the Scottish League making more than 800 first-team appearances, 696 of which were with the Aberdeen Dons. He was also involved in three of Scotland’s World Cup appearances as a player in 1970, 1974, and 1978.
Bobby Clark, along with Aberdeen’s Len Taylor and women’s head coach Randy Waldrum, will be the featured clinicians at this year’s coaching seminar.
Waldrum completed his eighth year at Notre Dame bringing the women’s team back to the College Cup as Runners-Up of this year’s NCAA Tournament. He was also at the helm during Notre Dame’s run to the 2004 NCAA title and also took the Fighting Irish to the College Cup in 1999 & 2000. Waldrum has been a member of the U. S. National team coaching staff since 1992 and was named an NSCAA staff instructor in 2004. He is a four time Big East Coach of the Year and was currently named a National Coach of the Year finalist.
