Dec. 11, 2000

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame has received more than 22,000 requests for the University’s allotment of 15,000 tickets for the 30th annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl to be played Jan. 1, 2001, against Oregon State.

A lottery will be held this week, and those who have requested tickets will be notified by overnight mail between Dec. 15-18 whether or not they were winners in the lottery process.

Out of the original allotment of 15,000 tickets, there were 2,482 sold Thursday and Friday to Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s students.

All of Notre Dame’s tickets are $75 for the game in 73,471-seat Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

The 22,000 requests for tickets came primarily through a 58,000-piece mailing that went to all Notre Dame season-ticket holders, contributing alumni (those individuals who contributed $100 or more to the University in calendar year 1999), Monogram Club members and 3,000 University faculty and staff.

Any ticket questions should be directed to the Notre Dame ticket office at 219-631-7356.
