Notre Dame-Purdue Football Game To Be Televised

Sept. 17, 2003

ABC Sports has announced that it will televise the Sept. 27 Notre Dame-Purdue football game on a regional basis.

Kickoff will be at 2:30 p.m. EST (3:30 p.m. EDT) in West Lafayette, Ind.

The Notre Dame-Purdue game will be seen in 37 percent of the country – including all of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire, plus parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The Pittsburgh-Texas A&M game will be seen in 29 percent of the country, the Wake Forest-Virginia game in 17 percent and a to-be-determined Pacific-10 Conference game will go to 17 percent.

The ABC Sports announcement means ABC will televise at least four Notre Dame road games in 2003. ABC nationally televised the Notre Dame-Michigan game last Saturday – and it also previously announced plans to show the Nov. 29 Notre Dame-Stanford game (split national) and the Dec. 6 Notre Dame-Syracuse game (national).
