NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Laura Woodward has been named the assistant director of ticketing at the University of Notre Dame. Woodward has nearly 10 years of experience in the field of athletics, most recently a two-and-a-half year stint as the assistant ticket manager at the Naval Academy Athletic Association in Annapolis, Md.

At the Naval Academy, Woodward administered all facets of ticketing for men’s and women’s basketball and all other Olympic sports. She managed the allocation of season basketball and single game football tickets for an average attendance of 30,000. Her position also involved the assigning and supervising of all 22 game day workers and the seasonal staff of four along with serving as the liaison with the marketing office.

Prior to her work at the Naval Academy, Woodward completed a nine-month internship in the athletics ticket office at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. As a member of the Cowboys’ ticket office she supervised the daily ticket operation at the walk-up counter and assisted with the student and athlete ticketing program. Her duties also included the management of daily operations in phone sales and customer service. Additionally, she worked with the marketing department to promote and advertise sporting events to the student body and community.

While attaining her undergraduate degree at Elmira College (N.Y.), she served as assistant to director of intramurals. She scheduled, promoted and supervised all intramural activities along with publishing a monthly campus intramural newsletter. Woodward graduated from Elmira in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in management.
