NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame was named as one of the 20 potential host sites for the upcoming regionals in the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, the NCAA Division I Selection Committee announced Friday afternoon.
The selection committee introduced the list of 20 host sites for the regionals that will be dwindled down to 16 on Sunday, May 30th. If the Irish are selected as a host site, it will be the first regional Frank Eck Stadium has hosted since the 2004 postseason.
The fourth-ranked Irish are currently in their final exam break and are off this weekend. The Irish remain in the top spot in the ACC Atlantic Division and hold the best record across the conference. They will be back in action on Thursday, May 20th for the final series of the regular season against Virginia Tech.
