Notre Dame Men's Tennis To Challenge USTA Junior National Team

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The 25th-ranked Notre Dame men’s tennis team is set to face the USTA Junior National Team Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. (ET) at the Everett Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Fla.

“We are really excited to connect with the USTA group here,” head coach Bobby Bayliss says. “Not only will it be terrific competition for us, but to see the training facilities in Boca Raton and meet the coaches who are among the top at what they do in the country.”

There are 11 member of the Irish squad that made the trip to Florida including seniors Stephen Havens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy), Daniel Stahl (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman), David Anderson (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich), Tyler Davis (Nashville, Tenn./Father Ryan) and Michael Moore (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South), juniors Casey Watt (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) Sam Keeton (Kansas City, Mo./Pembroke Hill), and Niall Fitzgerland (Wicklow, Ireland/Blackrock College), sophomores Blas Moros (Boca Raton, Fla./Pine Crest) and Spencer Talmadge (Hillsborough, Calif./Junipero Serra) and freshman Greg Andrews (Richland, Mich./Gull Lake)

The tentative roster for the USTA Junior National Team is Luca Cornitelli, Joseph DiGiulio, Hunter Harrington, Nikko Madregallejo, Spencer Papa and Ronnie Schynder.

“I have spoken with Mike Sell, the coach of the USTA Junior National Team and we are both looking forward to the match,” Bayliss says.
