Notre Dame Lacrosse Set For Weekend On The West Coast

Oct. 11, 2017

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame lacrosse program has been busy this fall, as the team has traveled to Buffalo, New York to play the Canadian National Team in two exhibitions and hosted a number of scrimmages including the annual Steak & Hot Dog Game.

However, one of the focal points of the fall schedule is the upcoming team trip to Chicago and San Francisco which occurs this weekend from Oct. 13-15.

“The trip to San Francisco will be a lot of fun for the guys,” said Corrigan. “We are going to do a clinic and play a game against Harvard at St. Ignatius. I think it will be a terrific day of lacrosse.”

The annual fall trip has always been a cornerstone of the Notre Dame Fall Lacrosse Experience, as the team has also travelled to destinations such as Denver, Seattle, New York City, etc.

Prior to leaving for San Francisco, the Irish and OWLS Lacrosse will team up to host a clinic. The Notre Dame men’s lacrosse program and OWLS lacrosse has developed a unique relationship over the years, as the Irish will be joining the organization to host a clinic for the sixth straight year. After putting on the clinic in Chicago, the team will bus over to Midway airport and depart for San Francisco on Friday evening, where it will arrive late that night.

Saturday will be packed with events, as the Irish will arrive at St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 12:30 p.m. PT. Notre Dame will kick off the day by hosting a clinic at St. Ignatius followed by an exhibition game against Harvard at 3 p.m. PT.

After the game the two teams will stay at St. Ignatius for a cookout.

The whirlwind weekend is set to conclude on Sunday. The Irish will take part in a team activity that is yet to be determined during the day before heading back to campus on Sunday evening. The program’s next trip in the Notre Dame Fall Lacrosse Experience will be the Junior Networking Day in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 19.
