Notre Dame, Ind. – The third annual “Tackle The Arts”, a program in which kids and adults can learn more about reading, poetry, creative writing, art, drawing and music, will be held Saturday, July 10, on the Children’s Floor (3rd floor) of the St. Joseph County Public Library (304 South Main Street) in South Bend. The program will take place from 12 Noon until 2 p.m.

Initiated by former Notre Dame football player and current NFL linebacker, Courtney Watson, “Tackle the Arts” is in its third year and is uniquely designed to inspire area youth in exploring the educational arts, including reading, creative writing and poetry, drawing, and music. Born through a partnership with the St. Joseph County Library in downtown South Bend, “Tackle the Arts” is the largest team-organized outreach in Notre Dame football history.

Admission to “Tackle the Arts” is free to the public. During this highly interactive event, team members lead the children through fun stations aimed at highlighting each of the educational arts. This year’s event promises to make “Tackling” the Arts more fun than ever before!
