Every game is special at the University of Notre Dame. For 33 fourth and fifth-year seniors, today’s matchup with Connecticut takes on even more importance as it is the group’s final home game in Notre Dame Stadium.

Some of those 33 players might have a fifth-year of eligibility, but for each member of the Irish team the mantra this week has been the same – send the seniors out on a high note.

Notre Dame Stadium also welcomes back a tradition not seen since the Lou Holtz days. All 33 Irish seniors will be announced, along with their parents, before the game this afternoon and each will be able to run out of the tunnel by themselves to be saluted by the Irish faithful.

Speaking of Notre Dame Stadium, we have our und.com Stadium Camera up and running – so feel free to check out the weather and watch the stands fill up….
