Notre Dame Continues to Rise in CSCAA Rankings

NOTRE DAME, Indiana — The Irish men’s and women’s swim and dive squads continued their rise in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll, released this week. Previously ranked No. 18 in the CSCAA poll, the Irish men jumped to No. 17, while the Notre Dame women rose four spots, from a previous No. 18 ranking to No. 14 this month.

The move comes just a week prior to the beginning of postseason competition, as the women’s swimmers and all divers head to the ACC Championships Feb. 17-20, while the men’s swimmers will follow Feb. 24-27.

Notre Dame’s women’s squad was undefeated in dual meet competition this season, with the signature win coming in an upset of then-No. 14 Louisville. The Cardinals are now ranked No. 12. The Irish men earned a 3-1 dual meet record for 2020-21, with the only defeat coming in a narrow 148-152 loss to then-No. 13 Louisville (now No. 7).
